This award winning building project, in conjunction with
Marsh & Grochowski Architects,
is situated in
Wellington Square adjacent to the
Playhouse Theatre.
The project provides first floor rehearsal facilities adjacent
to the
Playhouse Theatre above the existing public bar below.
The
'Nottingham Playhouse' sign is constructed from a single slab of concrete mounted on the
side of the building.
The curved mirror statue was also designed by Marsh & Grochowski but
completed by others.
More recently further work has been undertaken to convert basement storage
areas into modern offices with their own entrance. The complete building
has recently been decorated externally.These
offices are situated in Wellington Circus opposite the Playhouse Theatre.
