Company Policy |
|
| |
The Company endeavours to implement all
applicable sections of the
Health & Safety Act 1974 and its many revisions including CDM (Construction Design
Management) Regulations.
All staff are issued with a copy of the
the Company Health & Safety Policy and Company Rules based on current legislation. All
sites and equipment comply with the safety regulations.
The health and welfare of the workforce is
also of paramount importance to the Company. To this end
PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment) is given to all site workers. Employees are also made
aware of regulations concerning hazardous substances and the necessary
precautions involved for a safe working environment
COSHH
(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
through the provision of
Data Sheets.
Risk assessments and method statements
have now become routine and no employee should undertake a hazardous task
without this documentation being in place and relevant to the particular work
being undertaken.
Employees working on sites on an
individual basis are provided with First Aid Kits and are issued with protective
and safety equipment as required. Many employees are qualified first
aiders. |

Courses |
|
| |
All of our basic work force have attended
one day courses on First Aid. The foremen have all attended four day courses on
First Aid. This ensures that there is adequate First Aid cover on all sites.
All our regular staff have successfully
achieved CDM Site Safety Status. The majority
of our employees have achieved CSCS Registration
(Construction Skills Certifying Scheme).
Our aim is that all site workers have full
registration at their own level.
Attendance on other courses such as
erecting scaffolds, safe use of grinding wheels and courses of this nature are
provided for employees as and when they are required.
Foremen are also given regular training on
site management matters so that they are up to date with new techniques,
procedures and policies as they are introduced into the system. |
